Journal Entry # 32: Burning Bridges

Do you agree with David that the worst thing about the city is that they brainwash people into thinking they're ugly? Why or why not?

    i don't think that i think they really give the operation because how else would they put the cancerus cells in your body and in the begging when Tally sees Peris she is very suprised to see what he looks like !!

    Yes i do agree they make you feel ugly with the happy inhuman pretties. It is easy to mamipulate them but it changes when you go to the smoke.

    I don't think that its the worst thing but its not a good thing. The people in this city need to learn that a few flaws are ok. Your not ugly just because your face isn't symetrical or you nose is to big. They also need to learn that beauty isn't all about looks, also your personality and whats on the inside does count.

    Yes i do agree like that everything elsee seems pretty cool to me. I think that thats the worst think b/c you cant be yourself and your changed into a different person b/c of surgery and you dont even know it.

    I do agree with David because everyone should think that they are pretty on the inside and on the outside. You really shouldn't let some one tell you what you are and how you look.

    I think it is awful that people brainwash everyone into thinking that before turning pretty everyone is ugly. I think that is the worst part about the city.

    I agree with David. I think that ppl should be undercontrol but they shouldnt brain wash them to be all stipid and party all the time.

    I agree with David. I think that it is wrong to brain wash people into thinking that there ugly until their sixteenth birthday when they turn pretty and get the operation. Life is not about being pretty and partying all the time.

    I agree with David.Just because someone says your ugly doesn't mean you are and it's wrong to try to make people think they are ugly.

    Well makeing the people think they are ugly is very discouraging. Even though you do get a surgery to make yourself pretty, all of it is fake. They tear you own skin off that you grew up with and put new skin on. They replace basically all of your bones with plastic.

    I think the worse part about the city is that it is an artificial paradise. The pretties are artificial and the discriminate against the "normal" people. The are too expecting and they would not survive in a bad scenario.

    I do not thing that that is the worst part about the city. The worst part is that they make you think you are what you are not. And you have not clue what to do in the real world.

    Yes beacuase, first it lowers your self-esteem and second makes everyone feel different and uncomfortable, and third your not ever yourself after you get the opperation.
